Our trip to Oak Island

It was a great week at the beach. We were able to relax and have a good time playing in the sand and the ocean .

We took the Fort Fisher Ferry to the NC Aquarium and had a good time there. That's Silas eating a snow cone on top of the frog!We had a great time at the beach! Silas adores everything about the beach, but it took Stephen a while to warm up to the idea of the waves. He was okay as long as he was distracted by sand play, but that was the ONLY time.

CT Scan Results

Stephen's doctor called to say that his results are normal!! Praise the Lord!! Apparently there is a range of normal amounts of fluid around the brain, and Stephen's is on the "high end" of the normal range, but still normal. Thanks everyone for your prayers for our little guy. The next step is to have him assessed on his developmental stages since he is not expressing himself as much verbally as he should be. I'm waiting on a call from the county for that appointment to happen. The person who took all of his info said that they like to conduct it in the place where he is the most comfortable, so I'm guessing it will be at our home.

We're off to the Coast!!

We're off to Oak Island, NC. We have been blessed with a *FREE* place to stay. One of Scott's dear little 6th graders picked him as his favorite teacher. The parents let whoever his favorite teacher is use their beach house for a week! Never being one to turn anything down that's free, we're off to the beach!! We'll post some pictures when we get back. Pray for travel mercies and good health for us all...

My head's not that BIG is it??

Stephen had to have a CT Scan today. His pediatrician, Dr. Baker, decided that he should have one since he has always measured "off the charts" on the percentile scale for head circumference. It was hard on all of us, but we survived! We think it's one of the cutest heads we've ever seen!! So, we will update you when the results come in!

Silas' Birthday Fun, June 13th!

Notice those cake colors?

This was the highlight of the party!

This was from his party at school a couple of weeks before his "Real" birthday!

Silas turns 6!!

Silas turned 6 on June 13th!! He's growing so fast, it makes us want to stop time! He had a party at the park in Mint Hill and had a blast with a few of his friends from school. They especially enjoyed the Pinata!
